Carpenter stays with Acantha here while she recovers from the events at Marcel's Crossing. She is taught the prayers and practises of the Cairn Maiden while she is there.[1]
The Homesick Corpse washes up on the beach nearby the Lych-House, causing Carpenter to begin supposedly her final pilgrimage for the Trawler-man.[1]
According to the Cairn Maiden, Acantha will die in her desk chair in her study on the second floor of her house.[1]
